# LiveNow — Privacy Policy

**Last updated:** May 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how **LiveNow** (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application on iOS and Android.

---

## Who we are

**App name:** LiveNow
**Package identifiers:** `com.livenow.app` (iOS and Android)

For privacy-related questions, contact: **daniielf.13@gmail.com**

---

## Intended audience

**LiveNow is intended for adults (18 years or older).**

If you are under 18, you may only use the App with the permission and active supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for the minor’s use of the App and for any data processed through the device.

The App is **not directed at children** and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental authority and supervision.

---

## Summary

- LiveNow **does not require an account** or your name, email, or phone number.
- We store **minimal data on your device** (for example, whether you completed onboarding).
- **Free users** may see **advertisements** served by Google AdMob, which may process device and advertising-related data as described below.
- We use **Google Firebase Analytics** in production builds to understand how the App is used (for example, which features are used and whether ads load). We do **not** send analytics events from development builds.

---

## Information we process

### 1. Information you provide in the App

When you use LiveNow, you may select preferences such as:

- Number of people (solo, two, group)
- Social vs introspective mood
- Energy level
- Indoor vs outdoor
- Available time

This information is used **on your device** to filter and suggest activities. We do **not** operate our own servers to store a user profile or preference history.

When you request a suggestion, we may send **aggregated usage events** to Google Firebase Analytics that describe your preference choices (for example, solo vs group, indoor vs outdoor) as part of improving the App. These events are **not** linked to your name, email, or phone number in the App.

### 2. Information stored on your device

The App may store small amounts of data locally using your device’s storage (for example, AsyncStorage), including:

| Data | Purpose |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| Onboarding completed | So we do not show the introduction screen every time |

Language choice and activity preferences are held in app memory during use and are **not** persisted to long-term storage in the current version, except as noted above.

You can remove locally stored App data by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App.

### 3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

If you use the free version of the App, we show **interstitial ads** through **Google AdMob** (Google LLC).

Google may collect and process information such as:

- Device identifiers (for example, advertising ID)
- IP address (approximate location)
- Ad interaction data
- Technical data (device type, OS version)

This processing is governed by **Google’s policies**, including:

- [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)
- [How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps](https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites)

Where required by law (for example in the EEA or UK), you should be presented with choices about personalized advertising and cookies through Google’s **User Messaging Platform (UMP)** or similar consent tools. You can also adjust ad personalization in your device settings:

- **iOS:** Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising
- **Android:** Settings → Google → Ads

We do not control all data processing performed by Google as an independent controller.

### 4. Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)

In **production** versions of the App (not during local development), we use **Google Firebase Analytics** (Google LLC) to understand how the App is used and to diagnose issues. Firebase may automatically collect certain technical and usage information (for example, app opens, device model, OS version, and general engagement signals) in addition to the custom events we send.

We do **not** maintain our own analytics servers. Analytics data is processed by Google as described in:

- [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)
- [Firebase Privacy and Security](https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy)

#### Custom events we send

We log events such as the following. Parameters are limited to non-identifying categories and identifiers **internal to the App** (for example, an activity suggestion ID from our bundled catalog, not your real-world location or identity):

We do **not** intentionally log your name, email, phone number, precise location, photos, contacts, or free-text messages through analytics.

#### Your choices

- Uninstalling the App stops new analytics collection from that installation.
- For more information about Google’s retention and deletion practices, see Google’s and Firebase’s documentation linked above.

## Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following bases depending on the processing:

| Processing | Typical legal basis |
| --------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Providing core App features (on-device suggestions) | Performance of a service you request / legitimate interests |
| Storing onboarding status on device | Legitimate interests / performance of the service |
| Analytics via Firebase (production builds) | Legitimate interests (improve and secure the App) and/or **consent** where required by law |
| Showing ads via AdMob | **Consent** (where required) or legitimate interests for non-personalized ads, as applicable |
| Compliance with law | Legal obligation |

You may withdraw consent for personalized ads at any time through in-app privacy controls (when implemented) and your device settings.

## How we share information

We **do not sell** your personal information.

We share information only in these situations:

- **Service providers:** Google (AdMob for advertising; Firebase for analytics), subject to their terms and privacy policies.
- **Legal requirements:** If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- **Business transfers:** If the App or its assets are transferred (users would be notified via an updated policy where required).

Preference-related **usage events** may be processed by Google Firebase Analytics as described in section 4. We do not sell your personal information or share preference data with third parties for their own marketing.

---

## International transfers

Google may process data on servers located outside your country, including the United States. Where required, Google provides appropriate safeguards as described in its documentation. See Google’s privacy materials for details.

---

## Data retention

- **On-device data:** Kept until you clear app data or uninstall the App.
- **Ad-related data:** Retained according to Google AdMob’s policies and your device settings.
- **Analytics data:** Retained by Google Firebase according to its configuration and policies (typically for a limited period defined in Google Analytics / Firebase settings, then aggregated or deleted per Google’s schedules).

We do not maintain a central user profile on our own servers.

---

## Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to an app of this scope. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Keep your device updated and protected.

---

## Third-party links and activities

LiveNow suggests **offline or local activities**. If you follow links or visit places suggested by activities, those third parties have their own privacy practices — we are not responsible for them.

---

## Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version in this repository and/or in the App listing, and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated through the App or store listing where required.
